The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has established technologies for creating and interpreting web-based content. Fruity Websites works to Web Standards whenever possible.

Websites created to the W3C standard provide an equal experience for all users and are supported by all browsers , operating systems and media types. They are much easier to update, load much faster, return better search engine results and provide a future-ready website into the bargain.

Problems can arise when browsers do not conform to standards but rather create their own closed set of standards and rules. Microsoft's Internet Explorer is the main culprit. There are far better browsers available including Firefox, Opera and Safari.

We avoid designing with Flash. It bloats websites and search engines cannot index Flash content.
